Rusty Gloves boxers and coaches together in the gym

Rustygloves

Boxing for seniors and for people living with Parkinson's. A physical outlet, a social circle, and a way to take a swing back.

Take a swingback

Our senior and Parkinson's boxers have enriched this whole community, and given our kids and members someone to look up to. Rusty Gloves meets the unique needs of Colorado's seniors while bringing them into the life of the gym, with both co-ed and women-only classes.

For people affected by Parkinson's disease and the challenges of aging, Rusty Gloves uses research-based work to manage and push back on the symptoms of neurodegenerative disease. Boxing combines mental and physical work in a way few activities can.

How classruns

First we warm up with our ABCs (Adult Balance & Conditioning) in all three planes of motion. Then we lace up the gloves, smack some leather and break a sweat.

"We need to be challenged, and she treats us like people who can respond to a challenge."

Ken B., Rusty Gloves
